About this place
Mau Wu Tsai Soccer Pitch is a low-key, outdoor hard-surface recreational pitch managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Measuring approximately 25 meters by 20 meters, it meets standard futsal field layouts. Families visit this spot to give children an open, unhurried space to run around, play active games, kick a football, or burn off energy away from congested urban playgrounds.
Things to know
Be Humidity-Aware
Because the pitch is completely outdoors and lacks specialized shade sails, the best visiting windows to avoid extreme heat and humidity are early morning (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:00 PM).
Pack Essential Supplies
There are no commercial kiosks or retail stores directly on-site. Parents must bring their own water bottles, sun hats, a small first-aid pack, and mosquito repellent (essential between April and October).
Check Weather Warnings
The space is highly exposed. If the Hong Kong Observatory issues an Amber Rainstorm warning or higher, the pitch will empty out rapidly.
Toilet Availability Note
There are no integrated restroom facilities directly on the pitch. While the Mau Wu Tsai Public Toilet is located nearby in the village, please note that it is suspended for renovation until September 18, 2026, with temporary portable toilets provided in the interim.
