KidsOuting

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-16

In plain words

  • We only keep your children's details if you add them, and only to help you enrol in classes. All of it is optional.
  • Your child's name and photo are shared only with the one academy you enrol in. Classmate sharing is off unless you turn it on.
  • Children's photos are stored privately and can only be opened through a signed-in, permission-checked link, never a public web address.
  • We never sell your data or your children's, and we don't run advertising trackers.
  • Delete your account any time. It removes your children's profiles and deletes their photos from our storage.

Who we are

KidsOuting is operated from Hong Kong by PostReach AI Limited (the “Service”). We help families find kids activities, shops, events, and classes, and we let parents enrol their children in classes with the academies listed here. For any privacy question, email hello@kidsouting.com.

What we collect

  • Your account: email, display name, language preference, and whether you use KidsOuting as a parent, a business, or an admin.
  • Things you create: saved lists, reviews and any photos you add to a review, and business listings you claim.
  • Your children's details (only what you choose to add): a name or nickname, birth year and month (the day is optional), a favourite colour, notes you want academies to see (for example allergies or support needs), private notes only you can see, and an optional photo. All of this is optional, and you can edit or delete it any time under Kids in your account.
  • Enrolment details: when you request a place in a class, we record which child, which class, your message, and your preferred way to pay.
  • Safe hand-over (SafeHands), if you use it: a record of drop-off and pick-up, including the child's name, the time, and who dropped off or collected them, so the academy can run a safe hand-over.
  • How the site is used: pages viewed and searches, plus a country worked out from your connection, through third-party analytics tools (with IP anonymisation on and no advertising signals). In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland these run only after you accept analytics cookies; elsewhere, including Hong Kong, they are on by default under the local notice model and you can switch them off any time under Cookie settings in the footer. We also keep a simple first-party record of pages you visit, linked to your account when you are signed in, to improve the site.
  • Photo details: if a photo you upload contains hidden EXIF data (capture time, GPS, camera model), we read it, store it privately, and always strip it from the file before serving. We use it to check a review photo roughly matches the place, for anonymous aggregate stats, and to help admins spot fraud or stock-photo abuse. It is never tied to advertising or sold.
  • Payments: today you pay academies directly, so we record whether a place is paid, unpaid or waived, plus the amount and method the academy enters. We do not process card payments yet and never see card details.

How we use and share your children's information

Your children's details are private by default and are never sold or used for advertising. We share them only in these ways, and only because you asked us to:

  • With an academy you enrol in: when you request a place, that one academy sees the child's name, your contact details, and the notes you chose to share, so they can prepare and reply to you. Other academies do not see it.
  • Classmates (off by default): if an academy turns on a class list, your child appears to other families in the same class only if you switch on classmate sharing for that child. It is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off again any time.
  • Photos: photos of your children (and SafeHands photos) are kept in a private store and can only be opened through a signed-in, permission-checked link, never a public web address. Photos you add to a public review are the exception, since those are meant to be seen by everyone.

Emails we send

We send account and enrolment emails, for example a welcome note, a class reply, reminders, or an academy update. You control reminders, updates and marketing emails under Settings, and marketing emails can be switched off at any time.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data, or your children's.
  • We do not run third-party advertising or place advertising trackers.
  • We do not use your children's information for advertising or profiling.
  • We do not use your data to train external AI models without your explicit opt-in.

Your rights (HK PDPO + GDPR)

  • Access, get a copy of the data we hold about you and your children
  • Correction, fix anything that is wrong
  • Deletion, ask us to remove your account and data (also in-app under Settings, Delete account). Deleting your account removes your children's profiles and deletes their photos from our storage.
  • Portability, export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent, change your analytics choice any time under Cookie settings in the footer

To use any of these, email privacy@kidsouting.com. We respond within 30 days.

Where your data is stored

Accounts, listings, children's profiles, enrolments and reviews are stored securely on servers in Singapore. Public listing and review images are served from a global image network; children's photos and SafeHands photos are kept in a separate, private store that is not publicly reachable. Some services we rely on, including our analytics providers, are based in the United States. We will move to a Hong Kong region as soon as our providers support it.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and your children's profiles while your account is open, and remove them when you delete your account. We automatically delete older records we no longer need: browsing history after about 13 months, SafeHands drop-off and pick-up logs after about 12 months, and email reminder logs after about 30 days.

Children's privacy

KidsOuting accounts are for adults (16+); children cannot create their own account. Parents and guardians may add details about their children to help with enrolment, and that information stays private and is shared only with the academies you choose, as described above. If you believe a child's information has been added or shown without permission, tell us and we will remove it promptly.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Service grows. We will announce material changes by email and a banner on the site at least 14 days before they take effect.
