Ho Sheung Heung Playground
Busy times
About this place
Operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), this small, low-key village playground features a basketball court and classic children's play equipment. It is a great spot for families to enjoy a brief play and rest session while exploring local heritage sites, cycling along the Sheung Yue River, or hiking up Crest Hill.
Things to know
Pack the Basics
There are no convenience stores directly inside the playground. Pack your own water, snacks, and sun hats. Traditional village stores and famous local soy pudding houses are just a short walk away.
Prepare for Mosquitoes
Because the playground is in a rural village close to the Sheung Yue River and open wetlands, mosquitoes are very active. Be sure to apply mosquito repellent.
Midday Heat Warning
The playground has minimal shade over the active play equipment, making it incredibly hot during the summer midday sun. The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon.
Limited Restroom Facilities
While there is a public toilet in the adjacent village area, it is quite basic and does not have wheelchair-accessible or barrier-free facilities.
