Tsung Pak Long Children's Playground

About this place
Tsung Pak Long Children's Playground is a small, outdoor municipal play area managed by Hong Kong's Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Tucked away in the historic village of Tsung Pak Long in Sheung Shui, it serves as a quiet local recreation spot. Families living in or exploring the rural New Territories visit this park to let younger children play in a low-key, peaceful neighborhood environment away from the city's crowded urban parks.
Things to know
Bring the Essentials
Located in a rural village environment, there are no immediate convenience stores nearby. Parents must pack their own water bottles, sun protection, and mosquito repellent, especially from April to October.
No Toilets Onsite
There are no restrooms or baby care rooms directly within the playground. Public toilets are available a short walk away within the village or at the nearby Sheung Shui MTR station.
Beat the Heat
Because this is an open-air, outdoor facility, the optimal visiting hours are early mornings (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoons (after 4:00 PM) to avoid the intense humidity and midday sun.
Weather Watch
In the event of an Amber, Red, or Black Rainstorm Warning, or if high Typhoon Signals are hoisted, the playground should be avoided as it is completely exposed to the elements.
