About this place

Tucked away in a quieter, rural corner of Kwu Tung in the North District, this small, open-air public play space managed by the LCSD offers a simple, relaxed, and unpretentious environment where neighborhood families go to let kids burn off energy away from the typical city crowds.

Things to know

Smoke-Free Zone

Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entirety of the playground.

Accessibility Limitations

The playground's entrances feature narrow metal barrier pillars, which can make stroller and wheelchair access difficult. There are also no tactile guide paths or braille maps onsite.

Mosquito Protection

Being a rural, outdoor setting surrounded by local greenery and trees, it is highly recommended to apply mosquito or insect repellent to kids before visiting.

Nearby Public Toilets

While there are no toilets within the immediate boundary of the playground, public toilets (such as the Kam Tsin Village Public Toilet) are located a short walk away in the village.

Good to know

Is there an admission fee to enter the playground?
No. Like almost all public municipal playgrounds managed by the LCSD in Hong Kong, Kam Tsin Village Children's Playground is entirely free to enter.
What kind of play equipment is available?
The playground features standard LCSD unpowered play structures, which typically include swings, a slide, climbing frames, and safety matting designed to help kids release energy safely.
Is the playground stroller-accessible?
While the interior pathways of the playground are flat, wide, and paved, the entrances leading from the village feature narrow pedestrian gates obstructed by protective metal bollards. Maneuvering wide strollers or double strollers through these entrances can be very tight and difficult.
Where can we find the nearest toilets?
While there are no restrooms inside the playground gates, public village toilets (managed by the government) are located a short, 2 to 5 minute walk away within the village.
Is there food or drink available nearby?
No. This is a quiet, rural village playground without commercial kiosks or vending machines. Parents are highly advised to pack their own snacks, formula, and plenty of water before making the trip.
