About this place

Spanning approximately 300 square meters, Pui O Children's Playground is a small, quiet, public outdoor recreational venue managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Completed in 2014, it features children's playground equipment, elderly fitness equipment, and shaded arbours. Families typically stop by for a quick, relaxed play session while traveling to or from the nearby Pui O Beach or campsite.

Things to know

Lantau Driving Restriction

South Lantau roads are highly restricted. You cannot drive a private vehicle to Pui O unless you hold a valid Lantau Driving Permit issued by the Transport Department.

No Onsite Restrooms

There are no dedicated restrooms or changing facilities within this small playground. However, public restrooms are accessible nearby at Pui O Beach or next to the adjacent South Lantao Rural Committee.

Insect Protection

Because the playground is surrounded by natural shrubbery and marshlands, mosquitos and bugs can be prevalent. It is highly recommended to apply insect repellent and sunscreen to children before visiting.

Combine with Pui O Beach

The playground is very small and is best utilized as a brief stopover. Pui O Beach is just a 5-minute walk down the path, making it easy to transition to beachside play.
