About this place

This is a public outdoor playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Nestled on a scenic hill path in northern Cheung Chau, it serves as a wonderful rest stop and play area for families hiking towards the North Lookout Pavilion. Families visit so children can play with the outdoor equipment in a quiet, car-free environment while enjoying beautiful open views of the sea.

Things to know

Bring Water and Snacks

There are no commercial kiosks or retail stores directly at this small playground. Families should pack water and snacks beforehand from the shops near the ferry pier.

Mosquito Protection

Bring mosquito repellent and sun hats, especially from April to October, as the venue is situated in a green, hillside area.

Beat the Heat

The playground is fully outdoors and has limited canopy shade. During hotter months, the best times to visit are early mornings (before 10:00 AM) or late afternoons (after 4:00 PM).

Check the Weather

Since the venue is completely open to the elements, check the Hong Kong Observatory app before traveling. Heavy rain will make the playground unusable.
