Mui Wo River Silver Garden
Busy times
About this place
Mui Wo River Silver Garden is a lovely outdoor seaside public park and playground managed by the LCSD. Tucked away behind Silver Mine Bay Beach and right next to the Silvermine Beach Hotel, it is highly popular among families for its modern, sensory-rich play equipment, low-density crowd environment, and stunning waterfront views.
Things to know
Sun and Heat Protection
The playground has very little natural shade, meaning it can become extremely hot in the middle of the day. Parents are advised to visit during the cooler late afternoon or evening hours, and bring umbrellas, hats, and sunscreen.
Hydration
Bring plenty of drinking water. There are no drinking fountains directly inside the park, though retail stores and vending machines can be found nearby at Silver Plaza or the ferry pier.
Sensory and Group Play
The playground is uniquely stocked with rare play equipment, including a highly popular four-person seesaw and a spinning flying saucer roundabout.
Bikes and Beach
Renting a bicycle right next to the park and going to the adjacent Silver Mine Bay Beach are highly recommended to turn the visit into a full-day family itinerary.
