About this place

Peng Chau Waterfront Playground is a free public outdoor park managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Located on the scenic waterfront promenade of Peng Chau, it serves as a relaxing, multi-generational play and exercise space. Families visit to let children play, skate, and ride bikes in a peaceful, coastal setting as part of a quiet outlying island day trip.

Things to know

Nearby Conveniences

While there are no food kiosks inside, restaurants, local bakeries, cafes, and a wet market are only a 2 to 5 minute walk away in the main village.

Multi-Generational Facilities

The playground features children's play equipment, a roller skating rink, a basketball court, foot reflexology paths, and elderly fitness equipment.

No. Peng Chau Waterfront Playground is a free, open-access public park managed by the LCSD. No tickets, fees, or bookings are required for families to play.
What facilities are available for older kids and teens?
Besides the standard playground slides and climbing frames, there is a dedicated roller skating rink (which is also approved for skate-biking and in-line skating) and an outdoor court lined for basketball and volleyball.

Yes. The streets of Peng Chau and the waterfront promenade are flat, wide, and highly accessible. The playground itself is equipped with barrier-free facilities, including tactile guide paths and a braille directory map.

While there are no changing rooms directly inside this specific playground, accessible public toilets are conveniently situated a 2-minute walk away at the adjacent Peng Chau Ferry Pier.
