Peng Chau Playground

About this place
Bounded by the quiet streets of the small, car-free island of Peng Chau, Peng Chau Playground is an outdoor public recreational facility managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). It is popular with local and visiting families looking to let their children enjoy outdoor play equipment, slide, and climb in a crowd-free, tranquil neighborhood. It serves as an excellent spot for kids to play before or after taking a stroll to nearby scenic spots such as Finger Hill.
Things to know
Car-Free Safety
Because there are no private cars or public motorized vehicles on the island, the surrounding streets are highly safe and peaceful for children to walk, run, or ride scooters, though strollers are recommended for toddlers.
Sun Protection
The playground is entirely outdoor and has limited natural shade. Sunscreen and hats are highly recommended, especially during hot summer days.
Bring Your Own Water
There is no fresh water dispenser directly on the playground site, so parents should bring plenty of bottled drinking water.
Combine with Hikes
The playground is located right next to the starting path and steps leading up to Finger Hill, making it easy to pair playground time with a short, family-friendly hike.
