About this place
Housed in the beautifully restored Blocks S61 and S62 of the former British military Whitfield Barracks (circa 1910), the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre is a public cultural hub managed by the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO). Families visit to explore Hong Kong’s archaeological and built heritage through interactive galleries, enjoy thematic exhibitions, and let children participate in hands-on learning activities in a relaxed, park-surrounded setting, all with free admission.

Location & getting there
Getting here
Take the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui Station and use Exit A1. From there, it is a very brief 3 to 4 minute walk straight into Kowloon Park to reach the Centre. Alternatively, you can use Jordan Station and enter Kowloon Park via Austin Road.
Numerous bus routes stop along Nathan Road, Canton Road, and Kowloon Park Drive. The China Hong Kong City bus terminus on Kowloon Park Drive is roughly 130 meters from the Centre. Green Minibus routes 62S and 610S also stop nearby.
Private cars cannot enter the pedestrian areas of Kowloon Park. Drivers must park at nearby public facilities, such as the Kowloon Park Sports Centre car park (accessed via Austin Road) or commercial parking lots at China Hong Kong City or Harbour City.
Paved, stroller-friendly paths lead directly to the Centre from the main Kowloon Park entrances on Nathan Road (near Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard), Haiphong Road, or Austin Road.
