Signal Hill Garden
Busy times
About this place
Operated by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), Signal Hill Garden is a historic public park situated atop Blackhead Point, a small hill about 40 meters high. It is centered around the iconic 3 to 4 story red brick Signal Tower, an Edwardian or Classical Baroque declared monument built in 1907. Families visit to explore the historic spiral staircase inside the tower, enjoy a peaceful escape from the bustling urban landscape of Tsim Sha Tsui, and take in panoramic views of Victoria Harbour from the garden's Chinese style pavilion.
Things to know
Stroller Accessibility
The garden is situated on a steep hill (about 40m high) and requires walking up slopes and staircases. It is highly stroller unfriendly; parents with infants should opt for a baby carrier instead.
Tower Staircase Safety
The internal spiral staircase in the Signal Tower is made of narrow iron steps with open railings. Parents must supervise young children closely, as toddlers could slip or fall.
Mosquito Protection
Given the dense trees and garden foliage, bringing mosquito repellent for the family is highly recommended.
Restrooms
Public toilets are available onsite (converted from a historic bungalow building), but they lack dedicated baby changing facilities.
