About this place
Nestled in the Old Garden of the historical Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the Green House is a tranquil indoor conservatory. It houses over 150 native and exotic plant species, including orchids, ferns, bromeliads, and carnivorous plants. It is a perfect spot for families to explore nature and pair with the nearby playground and animal exhibits.
Things to know
Free Admission
There is absolutely no charge to enter the Green House or any other areas of the gardens.
Steep Slopes and Strollers
The gardens are built on a steep slope. While paths are paved, pushing a stroller uphill can be tiring. Consider bringing a baby carrier.
Combine with the Playground
The Green House is located right next to the children's playground, which features swings, slides, climbing structures, and a sandpit.
Bring Water and Insect Repellent
The greenhouse is warm and humid, and the park has dense foliage. Be sure to bring plenty of water and apply mosquito repellent.
