About this place
This is a public outdoor playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) on Cheung Chau Island. Surrounded by a quiet, vehicle-free residential neighborhood, it offers basic play equipment (such as slides, swings, and climbing frames). Families visit to escape the crowds of the island's busier central tourist hubs and to let their children enjoy a quick, low-key play session before heading to nearby dining spots or beaches. The venue underwent a complete renovation from late 2024 to early 2025, which upgraded the flower beds, layout maps, public benches, and chess tables.
Things to know
Beat the HK Heat
As an entirely outdoor park with limited canopy shade, the best visiting windows are early morning (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:00 PM) to avoid high peak UV exposure.
Pack the Essentials
There are no retail shops directly on-site. Parents should bring water, sunscreen, sun hats, a small first-aid pack, and mosquito repellent (highly recommended between April and October).
Public Toilet Access
A public toilet (Round Table III Village Public Toilet) is conveniently located adjacent to the playground at 6Y Round Table Third Village.
Monitor Local Weather
Check the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) app before leaving. Because this is a fully outdoor, open venue, the playground empties quickly when Amber, Red, or Black rainstorm warnings are active.
