About this place
Man Uk Bin Children's Playground is a free, public outdoor playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Located in a quiet, rural area of Sha Tau Kok, it provides basic play essentials like climbing frames and slides, making it a peaceful, uncrowded pit-stop for families exploring the New Territories.
Things to know
Pack the Basics
There are no retail shops directly on-site. Parents should bring water bottles, sun hats, a small first-aid pack, and mosquito repellent (crucial from April to October in rural New Territories).
Beat the Humidity
The best windows to visit are between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, or after 4:00 PM. Anything in between during summer becomes extremely hot, and the playground has limited shade.
Public Toilets Nearby
While not immediately on-site, the public Man Uk Bin Public Toilet is located nearby within walking distance.
Weather Precautions
Since this is an entirely outdoor venue, it is highly sensitive to rainfall. If the Hong Kong Observatory issues an Amber rainfall warning or above, the playground clears out quickly.
