About this place
Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong, Tai Tong Wu Sitting-out Area is a small, quiet, public open space nestled in the countryside of the New Territories. It serves primarily as a local leisure spot where families and hikers can stop for a rest, featuring basic outdoor children's play equipment and shaded seating.
Things to know
Bring Bug Spray
Because this is a rural, vegetated, outdoor location in the New Territories, mosquitoes are highly active, especially during the humid months from April to October. Pack strong mosquito repellent.
Bring Your Own Refreshments
There are no convenience stores, supermarkets, or cafes directly inside the sitting-out area. Be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for children.
Restrooms Nearby
The public Tai Tong Wu Public Toilet is located nearby within the village, though it undergoes periodic refurbishments (during which portable toilets are typically provided).
Weekly Recycling Point
A mobile recycling collection spot operates near the sitting-out area every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (excluding public holidays or adverse weather), where families can drop off household recycling materials.
