About this place

Tucked away in the quiet village of Ki Lun Tsuen in Kwu Tung, Sheung Shui, this lovely public playground offers a peaceful escape from the city. Completed in 2020, it features basic children's play equipment, a basketball practice court, and fitness facilities for the elderly. It is a wonderful, rustic spot for local families to enjoy some quiet outdoor time together.

Things to know

Nature-Dense Area

Since the playground is located in a rural village setting close to hills and vegetation, it is highly recommended to bring insect repellent and sunscreen to protect kids from mosquito bites and sunburns.

No Toilets Inside

There are no restrooms directly inside the playground boundaries. However, the public Ki Lun Tsuen Public Toilet is located nearby in the village.

Free and Public

The facility is completely free to enter and open to the general public.

Basketball Court Booking

While free, the basketball practice court (which features floodlights) can be reserved ahead of time using the government's SmartPLAY system.

Is there a fee?
No. Public playgrounds in Hong Kong are free to enter and run by the LCSD.
What ages is this best for?
Most LCSD playgrounds suit ages 2 to 12, with separate toddler and older kid equipment. The exact setup varies by site.
Are there toilets nearby?
Usually yes. Most LCSD parks have public toilets within a five minute walk, and the nearest MTR station is a good backup.
What is the best time to go?
Mornings before noon are cooler and quieter, and late afternoon after the school rush works well too. In summer, avoid roughly noon to 3pm.
