About this place

Hong Kong Arts Centre is an arts venue at 2 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, where families come for theatre, film, exhibitions and children's art classes. It hosts family shows such as Christmas pantomimes, and the Kids Corner art programme for ages 5 and up runs on 15/F.

The building is open 8am to 11pm daily. A ramp and automatic door on Fenwick Street lead in, and two lobby lifts reach the theatre, cinema, galleries and restaurants. Ramp entrance and lifts

The step-free entrance is the automatic door with ramps on Fenwick Street. Two lifts in the main lobby serve the cinema, theatre stalls (1/F) and circle (3/F), the galleries on 4/F and 5/F, and the restaurants.

Every child needs a ticket

Each ticket admits one person, children included. Concession ticket holders must show proof of eligibility at the door.

Book tickets before you go

The URBTIX outlet on 2/F closed on 1 October 2023, so sort out tickets through the show's own booking link.

Café hours

The Corner on G/F opens 8.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays and 9am to 6pm at weekends, and closes on statutory holidays. Shiro Bakery on 4/F is takeaway only, 11am to 8pm daily.

Getting here

By MTR

From Wan Chai station Exit C, take the footbridge to Immigration Tower and on to Harbour Road, about 10 minutes. Admiralty Exit E2 via Harcourt Garden and Exhibition Centre Exit B3 via the footbridge to the Convention Centre take about as long.

By Bus

The centre lists KMB routes 101, 103, 111, 115 and 182 among others, plus a long list of Citybus routes.

By Walking

From Tsim Sha Tsui, take the ferry to Wan Chai, then walk about 15 minutes along Harbour Road towards the Convention Centre.
