About this place

Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong, this is an intimate, low-key public sitting-out area tucked into the Tsing Yi neighbourhood. Rather than a sprawling park, it is a small, quiet, and unpretentious space designed for local families and parents to unwind on benches while children engage in basic physical play.

Things to know

No Onsite Toilets

There are no changing rooms or public restrooms directly on-site. Parents should plan restroom breaks before arriving, using backup facilities at nearby housing estates or the Tsing Yi MTR station.

Beat the HK Humidity

The play area is highly exposed to the sun. The best visiting windows are between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM.

Pack the Essentials

Be sure to pack water bottles, sun hats, and mosquito repellent (highly recommended, especially from April to October), as there are no shops or vending machines on the immediate premises.

Check the Weather

As this is an entirely outdoor space, check the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) app before heading out. Playgrounds clear out quickly once an Amber rainstorm warning or higher is issued.

Good to knowGeneral guidance , know this venue? add detail

Is there a fee?
No. Public playgrounds in Hong Kong are free to enter and run by the LCSD.
What ages is this best for?
Most LCSD playgrounds suit ages 2 to 12, with separate toddler and older kid equipment. The exact setup varies by site.
Are there toilets nearby?
Usually yes. Most LCSD parks have public toilets within a five minute walk, and the nearest MTR station is a good backup.
What is the best time to go?
Mornings before noon are cooler and quieter, and late afternoon after the school rush works well too. In summer, avoid roughly noon to 3pm.
