No Permit Required
Chuk Yuen Village was removed from the Frontier Closed Area in 2016. Anyone can visit freely without a permit.

This is a fully outdoor venue with limited natural shade. The best visiting times are early morning or late afternoon.

Location & getting there
Getting here
Take the East Rail Line to Sheung Shui MTR Station (Exit A3 or D1) or Fanling MTR Station, then transfer to a bus or minibus.
Take KMB Bus Route 79K or Green Minibus Route 59K from Sheung Shui, and alight at the Chuk Yuen stop, then walk into the village.
Drive towards Lin Ma Hang Road via Heung Yuen Wai Highway to Chuk Yuen Village. Public open-air parking is available nearby.
Take a taxi from Sheung Shui MTR station via Lin Ma Hang Road, which takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
