About this place
Tucked away in a dense residential pocket of Kowloon, Sycamore Street Rest Garden is a small municipal park where families and local residents go to enjoy a quiet stroll, sit on the benches, or let kids stretch their legs. Because it is a small rest garden rather than a major destination park, families typically combine a brief visit here with a trip to the adjacent Sycamore Playground, which offers ball courts and designated play structures.
Things to know
Separate Facilities
The Rest Garden itself primarily features paved pathways, seating benches, and elderly fitness stations. If your kids want to play on slides, climb, or play ball sports, you will need to walk 2 to 3 minutes over to the adjacent Sycamore Playground on Willow Street, which houses a basketball court, a hard-surface soccer pitch, and dedicated children's play structures.
No Onsite Restrooms
There are no public toilets directly inside the Rest Garden. Restroom and changing facilities are available nearby at the Sycamore Playground on Willow Street.
Paved and Accessible
The layout is flat and stroller-friendly, with barrier-free tactile guide paths.
Bring Bug Spray
Like many small, leafy parks in Hong Kong, mosquitoes can be active, especially during the humid summer months.
