Tong Mei Road Children's Playground
Busy times
About this place
Tong Mei Road Children's Playground is a vibrantly transformed, public outdoor play space and the first playground in Hong Kong co-created alongside local children. Inspired by the classic local hide and seek game 'Great White Shark', this imaginative playscape features abstract zones representing dust storms, land, ocean, and coral reefs to spark physical development and social play.
Things to know
Beat the Heat
Being an outdoor urban venue, the play equipment can get hot during peak summer afternoons. The best times to visit are early in the morning (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:00 PM).
Pack the Essentials
There are no convenience stores directly inside the play space. Bring plenty of water, sun protection (hats and sunscreen), and mosquito repellent (especially between April and October).
Weather Alerts
Always check the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) app before visiting. High temperature warnings or Amber, Red, or Black rainstorm signals will heavily impact your trip.
Multigenerational Hub
Beyond children's play equipment, the playground features a single hard-surface basketball court and elderly fitness stations, making it a great destination for a quick family-wide outing.
