Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), Smithfield Sports Centre is a well-equipped public recreation facility located across the upper floors of the Smithfield Municipal Services Building. It features multi-purpose courts, a fitness room, activity rooms, and table tennis facilities. For families, the main highlight is its free, indoor, dinosaur-themed Children's Play Room, which offers a safe, padded environment where young kids can explore and burn off energy.

Socks are Required
Both children and accompanying parents/guardians must wear socks to enter the padded playroom area.
No Pre-booking
The Children's Play Room is entirely free, but operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a strict capacity limit of 30 people per session. Parents must line up outside the 4th-floor entrance before their desired session starts.
Combine with Library Visit
The Smithfield Public Library is located on the 3rd floor of the same building, making it very easy to transition to quiet reading time after active play.
Limited Onsite Parking
The building features only 6 free parking spaces reserved strictly for sports facility users during their booked sessions. Driving is discouraged unless you have a court booking.

Getting here
Take the Island Line to Kennedy Town Station. Use Exit A. The Smithfield Municipal Services Building is located directly across the street (less than a 1-minute walk).
Multiple bus routes serve nearby stops, including CTB Routes 1, 5B, 10, 18P, 18X, 101, 104, 113, and 971.
Navigate to 12K Smithfield, Kennedy Town. Onsite parking is extremely limited to 6 spaces for booked sports users only, so public transport is highly recommended.
Taxis can easily drop off passengers directly in front of the building's entrance on Smithfield.
