About this place

Located on the campus of YCCECE, the Pamela Peck Discovery Space is Hong Kong's first specialist play-based learning laboratory. Specially designed for young early learners and their parents, this interactive facility offers rich indoor and outdoor experiential play zones where children learn through play alongside trained educators, helping them develop cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills.

Pre-booking is Mandatory

The venue does not accommodate walk-in visitors. Booking must be secured online via their official booking site or Eventbrite.

Admission Rates

The basic admission fee is HKD 100, which includes entry for 1 adult and 1 child. Entry for each additional adult or child is an extra HKD 100.

Sock Policy

Adults are strictly required to wear socks in the indoor play areas (no shoes allowed). Children are allowed and encouraged to play barefoot indoors for sensory development.

Bring Extra Clothes and Towels

Because of the outdoor mud kitchen, water play zone, and painting area, children will likely get wet and messy. Bringing a change of clothes and a towel is highly recommended.

Getting here

By MTR

Take the South Island Line to Wong Chuk Hang Station (Exit A2), then transfer to Green Minibus 51S or Citybus 78 to the Yew Chung College Of Early Childhood Education stop. Alternatively, take Citybus Route 70 from Admiralty or Central MTR Station directly to Tin Wan.

By Bus

Several bus routes stop near the campus, including Route 70 (from Central), Route 77 (from Shau Kei Wan), Route 78 (from Wong Chuk Hang), Route 107 (from Kowloon Bay), Route 170 (from Sha Tin), and Routes 970X, 971, or 973 from Kowloon.

By car

Drive to 2 Tin Wan Hill Road, Tin Wan, Aberdeen. There is no onsite parking, so drop off passengers at the gate and park at the nearby Tin Wan Shopping Centre car park, a 3 to 5 minute walk away.

By Taxi

Ask the driver to go to Tin Wan Hill Road, Aberdeen, Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education. A taxi ride from Wong Chuk Hang MTR takes about 8 to 10 minutes.

Can we buy tickets at the entrance and walk in?
No, walk-ins are not permitted. Sessions must be booked in advance online using the venue's booking portal or via Eventbrite to manage capacity and safety.
What is the recommended age limit for children visiting?
The space is specially tailored for children from birth to 8 years old. Sensory-safe corners are built for babies from 6 months up, while older children up to age 8 will enjoy the role-play stations and outdoor active play.
What are the rules regarding footwear?
Adults must wear socks indoors (no shoes allowed). Children are encouraged to go barefoot indoors to boost sensory stimulation, though socks are also fine. Outdoor spaces require shoes for safety.
Is parking available at the venue?
There is no public or visitor parking at the YCCECE campus. Parents driving to the venue must park offsite at the nearby Tin Wan Shopping Centre car park and walk 3 to 5 minutes to the campus entrance.
What should we pack for our visit?
Be sure to pack a pair of socks for every adult in your group. It is also highly recommended to pack a spare set of clothes, a towel, and plastic bags for wet items, as children frequently get wet and muddy at the outdoor play stations.
