About this place

Located directly within the North District Sports Ground complex, this outdoor playground is managed by the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). It serves as a convenient and active recreation spot for local families. Parents frequently bring their children here to enjoy the inclusive play equipment, climb, slide, and coordinate other sports-related activities in a secure municipal environment.

Things to know

Fresh Renovations

The playground was closed for a comprehensive refurbishment and renovation from May 6, 2026, to early June 2026. The play structures are virtually brand new, safe, and modern.

Onsite Amenities

Because this is inside a major municipal sports ground, parent-friendly amenities are excellent. There are accessible public toilets, baby-friendly changing rooms, drinking water fountains, and a light refreshment kiosk selling bottled drinks and small snacks.

Be Prepared for the Weather

The playground is entirely outdoors and has minimal shade. To avoid the harsh midday Hong Kong heat and humidity, visit during the cooler hours (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM). Always pack hats, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.

Rain Warning

If the Hong Kong Observatory issues an Amber rainstorm warning or higher, the outdoor play area will empty out quickly as there are no nearby indoor covers on the playground.
