About this place

Luen Wo Hui Children's Playground is a public outdoor playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Tucked right next to the Grand Regentville residential estate, it provides a safe, rubber-padded outdoor play environment with climbing structures, slides, and rocker toys. Local families frequently visit this community spot to give younger children and toddlers a quick, active outdoor session.

Things to know

Be Mindful of the Heat

The playground is entirely outdoor and lacks natural shade over the play equipment. During hot summer months, the metal and plastic play slides can heat up quickly. It is highly recommended to visit either in the early morning (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoon (after 4:00 PM) to avoid sunburns and intense humidity.

Restrooms & Baby Care

There are no dedicated restrooms inside the playground. Parents can quickly use the public facilities, restrooms, and changing areas in the adjacent Grand Regentville Shopping Mall or the Luen Wo Hui Municipal Services Building/Sports Centre.

Bring Water

There are no food or drink kiosks located directly inside this tiny pocket playground. However, because the venue sits next to Grand Regentville and is a short walk from Luen Wo Market, plenty of convenience stores and supermarkets are nearby.

Insect Protection

Bring mosquito/insect repellent, particularly between April and October, as the park is set near municipal plant beds and shrubs.

Good to know

Is there any entrance fee to use the playground?
No, the playground is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of the Hong Kong Government and is entirely free for the public.
Can kids ride balance bikes or push-bikes here?
Yes. To accommodate local community needs, the LCSD has officially approved Luen Wo Hui Children's Playground as a designated site where young children (typically aged 5 or under, under adult supervision) are allowed to ride balance bikes.
Are there baby swings or regular swings at this park?
No, this specific pocket playground is equipped with standard multi-play climbing structures, slides, and rocking animal rides, but does not feature swings.
Are dogs allowed inside the play area?
Dogs and pets are not allowed directly within the children's play equipment zone. However, the larger, nearby Luen Wo Hui Playground (located down on Luen Wo Road) does have designated pet-friendly areas.
What should we do if it starts raining?
As an outdoor venue, the park has minimal overhead shelter. If heavy rain or a sudden storm hits, parents can easily seek shelter at the adjacent Grand Regentville Shopping Mall or walk a few minutes to the indoor Luen Wo Market.
