Spanning 12 stories, the Hong Kong Central Library is the flagship public library in Hong Kong. Families head here to visit the dedicated Children's Library and the famous Toy Library on the 2nd Floor, managed by professional playworkers to stimulate early childhood creativity and foster a love for reading.
Things to know
Bookings are Mandatory
Spaces are limited to 20 families per session. Reserve slots in person or by calling +852 2921 0386 up to 4 days in advance.
Socks are Required
For hygiene reasons, all children and adults must wear socks to enter the carpeted zones. No socks, no entry.
Arrive 10 Minutes Early
Registered families must check in 10 minutes before their session. If you are late by more than 5 minutes, your slot will be given to walk-ins.
Interactive Play Zones
Explore four developmental play corners. Children can also check out up to two specific toy sets (like train tracks or marble runs) to play with.

Getting here
Take MTR Tin Hau Station Exit B and walk along Causeway Road for 5 to 8 minutes, or Causeway Bay Station Exit F1 and walk for 8 to 10 minutes.
Take buses passing through Causeway Road and alight directly outside the library, or alight at Moreton Terrace Terminus.
No public parking onsite. Drivers can drop off passengers along Causeway Road and park at nearby Tin Hau Car Park or Windsor House.
