About this place

Tucked away in Jordan, this small, public outdoor play area is built on land historically given up by the adjacent Kowloon Cricket Club in 1932. Highly valued by local residents, it offers a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere under the shade of mature trees. The park features a safety-carpeted play area, a pavilion, and beautiful green surroundings, making it a perfect spot for local families to enjoy the fresh air and take a break from the urban bustle.

Things to know

Comfortable Seating and Shade

The venue features a covered pavilion, comfortable benches, and plenty of shade provided by semi-mature trees, ensuring parents have a cool spot to relax while supervising play.

On-site Restrooms

Parents will find an on-site public toilet block managed and cleaned by the LCSD.

Historical Legacy

Built in 1933, the park shares its borders with the historic Kowloon Cricket Club and the Kowloon Lawn Bowling Club (a Grade 3 historic building), giving the green space a unique colonial-era heritage.

Unique Design Motifs

The playground features a distinct design language centered around circular and semicircular motifs, which even extends to the public restroom block.

Good to know

Is there a fee?
No. Public playgrounds in Hong Kong are free to enter and run by the LCSD.
What ages is this best for?
Most LCSD playgrounds suit ages 2 to 12, with separate toddler and older kid equipment. The exact setup varies by site.
Are there toilets nearby?
Usually yes. Most LCSD parks have public toilets within a five minute walk, and the nearest MTR station is a good backup.
What is the best time to go?
Mornings before noon are cooler and quieter, and late afternoon after the school rush works well too. In summer, avoid roughly noon to 3pm.
