About this place
Wo Mei Rest Garden in Sai Kung is a free, outdoor neighborhood rest space along Hiram's Highway where families can sit on the grass and see neighborhood dogs. The 630-square-metre garden is designated as an Inclusive Park for Pets, with an arbour for shade and park benches.
It does not have any play equipment or toilets on site. It is open 24 hours daily, works well as a short outdoor rest stop, and has flat, paved paths that work with a stroller.
Things to know
No play equipment
There are no slides or swings in this garden. Children looking for climbing structures can head to Wo Mei Playground inside the nearby village, about 2 minutes away.
Nearest toilets 100 metres away
The garden has no restrooms or baby changing areas. The nearest option is the Hiram's Highway (Nam Wai) Public Toilet, roughly 100 to 120 metres south along the road.
Dogs must stay on leashes
Because this is an Inclusive Park for Pets rather than an enclosed dog run, all visiting dogs must be kept on leashes at all times.
Bring mosquito repellent
The space is entirely outdoor with open lawn areas. Bring mosquito protection and sunscreen for the children before you visit.
