Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), it is a peaceful, shaded rest spot equipped with basic benches, paved paths, and planters. Families and hikers exploring the nearby countryside or walking the scenic Wa Shan Military Trail use this area as a brief resting point to sit, relax, and enjoy the quiet rural atmosphere.

There is no active playground equipment like slides or swings here. The area features benches and green spaces perfect for a quiet break.

The rest area is located inside a quiet, local residential village. Please respect the privacy of the local villagers during your visit.
Nearby Toilet Facilities
There are no restrooms inside the sitting-out area itself, but the Sheung Shan Kai Wat Public Toilet is located a short distance away within the village.

Location & getting there
Getting here
There is no direct MTR station. Take the MTR to Sheung Shui or Fanling Station, then transfer to a bus, green minibus, or taxi.
Take KMB Route 79K from Sheung Shui and get off at the Wan Chuen Sin Koon stop, then walk about 16 minutes along the village road.
Drive toward Fanling or Sheung Shui, head onto Sha Tau Kok Road, turn onto Ping Che Road, and follow the local path. Note there is no official public parking.
Take a green New Territories taxi from Sheung Shui or Fanling MTR Station directly to Sheung Shan Kai Wat Village, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
The area is a common passing or descent point for those hiking the scenic Wa Shan Military Trail from Fu Tei Au.
