About this place

Shek Lei Adventure Playground is a free, public outdoor play area in Kwai Chung. Managed by the LCSD, this hillside playground features climbing structures, slides, and sensory installations. Originally opened in 1969 as Hong Kong's first adventure playground with abstract concrete structures, it was rebuilt in the 1990s with modern equipment and remains a beloved neighborhood spot.

Good to know

Is there an admission fee to enter Shek Lei Adventure Playground?
No, the playground is a free, open-access public space operated by the government's LCSD.
What kind of play equipment is currently available for kids?
Following its 1990s reconstruction, the playground features a spiral slide, a long straight slide, a rock-climbing simulation wall, a tic-tac-toe panel, and sensory musical play boards.
Is the playground easily accessible with a stroller?
Stroller access can be challenging. Because the park is built on a steep hillside, different sections and levels are connected by long staircases, making stroller navigation tough.
Are there public restrooms on-site?
Yes, there is a public toilet block located directly within the adventure playground area.
Can I park my car directly at the playground?
No, there is no parking directly inside or adjacent to the playground. Parents driving to the park must use nearby public parking, such as the multi-story car park at Shek Lei Shopping Centre Phase II on Tai Loong Street.
