About this place

Playroo is a 4,000 square foot, Australian themed indoor playroom and educational space in Fortress Hill. Founded by an Aussie Chinese former banker to bring a touch of Australia to Hong Kong, this bright, air conditioned wonderland features custom play zones designed to foster imaginative play, sensory exploration, and safety.

Things to know

Socks are Mandatory

Both children and adults must wear socks within the play area for hygiene and safety. Slip resistant or grip socks are highly recommended for kids.

Stroller & Wheelchair Access (Lift Entrance)

The main King's Road entrance does not have direct lift access. The accessible lift lobby is located on Oil Street inside the Shama service apartments entrance (roughly a 1 minute walk around the corner). Press the intercom, state you are a Playroo customer, and security will buzz you in.

Stroller & Storage Facilities

Dedicated stroller parking, lockers, and a fully equipped nursery or nursing room are available inside the venue.

Train Tickets

Admission standard tickets generally include 3 rides on the signature Taronga Train. Additional train rides can be purchased for HK$15 each. During private event or party bookings, the train rides are unlimited.

By MTR

Fortress Hill MTR Station, Exit A. The venue is located directly across the street on King's Road (approximately a 1 to 2 minute walk).

By Bus

Accessible via Hong Kong Island routes (2, 2A, 8H, 23, 65, 81, 18, 25, 8X, 10), Kowloon routes (102, 106, 112, 116, 619, 601), and New Territories routes (680, 690).

By car

Navigate to either AIA Tower Car Park on Electric Road or SINO Parking (148 Electric Road).

By Taxi

Taxis can pull up directly near the Fortress Hill MTR Station area. If arriving with a stroller, ask the driver to drop you off near Shama Fortress Hill on Oil Street to directly access the lift lobby.

How much is admission and what does it include?
Admission covers a standard 2 hour session for one adult and one child. Weekdays are HK$220 (additional child 1 or older is HK$110, additional adult is HK$90, babies under 1 are free). Weekends and Public Holidays are HK$260 (additional child 1 or older is HK$130, additional adult is HK$90, babies under 1 are free).
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes. Because the facility is frequently chartered for private events, birthday parties, and scheduled workshops, walk ins may not be accommodated. It is highly recommended to book a session online or via WhatsApp (+852 9318 8660) and verify scheduled openings on their Facebook or Instagram profiles.
What are the main play zones inside?
Key attractions include the Taronga Train Ride (a mini train looping around the play park), a high tech AR Sand Pit (with dynamic projections), an Interactive Supermarket (where wooden or soft grocery toys scan with functioning barcodes and provide English introductions), an indoor Ball Pit with Slides, and a Magnetic Fishing Game.
Is the venue safe for infants and toddlers?
Yes, the environment is specifically built with children 6 and under in mind. It features extensive padded soft flooring, low climbing frames, and dedicated soft play areas for younger toddlers, plus a wrap around seating area so parents can easily monitor play.
Can we host private birthday parties or baby events?
Yes. Playroo offers package options for private events. You can rent out a 400 square foot private Party Room for smaller, intimate gatherings, or purchase a full buyout of the entire 4,000 square foot space for large scale birthday parties, 100 day celebrations, and graduations.
