About this place

Managed by Hong Kong's Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), Man Yee Playground is a popular, no-fuss neighborhood park nestled in the heart of Sai Kung Town. It features an outdoor children's play area, elderly fitness stations, and a standard floodlit basketball court. Following a major public initiative, the children's area is transitioning into an 'Octopus Sea World' ocean-themed play space. It also functions as a designated 'Inclusive Park for Pets,' making it a versatile spot for the whole family, including dogs.

Things to know

Upgrades Underway

The playground has been undergoing a transformation under the LCSD's 'Transformation of Public Play Spaces' plan. Upgrades include a marine-themed playground, featuring an octopus play tower, a larger trampoline, and new swings.

Dog-Friendly Space

Because this is an 'Inclusive Park for Pets,' you will share the space with local dogs. Ensure your kids are comfortable around animals on leashes.

Beat the Sun

The playground is fully outdoors and lacks significant overhead shade. To avoid extreme midday heat and humidity, the best visiting times are between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM.

Pack Insect Repellent

Because the playground is located in verdant Sai Kung, mosquitoes are highly active, especially from April to October. Ensure you pack mosquito repellent.
