Sha Tsui Playground
Busy times
About this place
Sha Tsui Playground is a relaxed, open-air public venue in the heart of Sai Kung town. Surrounded by historic local village elements and massive old Banyan trees, families visit this peaceful waterfront playground to let kids burn off energy away from the typical heavy MTR crowds. It features a mix of climbing frames, slides, and outdoor green space, making it a great destination to pair with a weekend seafood lunch or speed boat trip from the nearby pier.
Things to know
Beat the Humidity
Because the park is entirely outdoors and open-air, the best times to visit are between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM to avoid the direct peak-day sun.
Pack the Basics
There are no retail shops or concessions directly inside the playground boundaries. Always pack your own water bottles, sun hats, and mosquito repellent.
Weather Monitoring
The park is completely uncovered, meaning it will empty out immediately if an Amber rainfall warning or higher is issued.
Pet-Friendly Outing
Sha Tsui Playground is designated as an official Inclusive Park for Pets. You can bring your dogs as long as they are kept on a leash.
