About this place
Tui Min Hoi Garden Playground is a free, public outdoor leisure ground and children's playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Situated on the waterfront of the quiet Tui Min Hoi peninsula, families visit this neighborhood park to let children burn off energy on standard play equipment while enjoying a peaceful, scenic environment overlooking the Sai Kung typhoon shelter, free from the heavy crowds found in major urban parks.
Things to know
Beat the Hong Kong Humidity
Because the playground is outdoors and has limited direct shade over the equipment, the best times to visit are between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM to avoid intense midday heat.
Pack the Basics
There are no retail shops or vending machines inside the park. Parents should bring water bottles, sun hats, and mosquito repellent (highly active in Sai Kung from April to October).
Check the Weather App
The outdoor play area empties out instantly during heavy rain. It is recommended to check the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) app for localized real time rain warnings (Amber level or higher) before heading out.
Nearby Restrooms
While there are no public toilets directly inside the playground gate, public restrooms are available within a short 5 minute walk in the adjacent village areas.
