Modeled after the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Avenue of Stars is a famous 440-meter waterfront promenade that celebrates the rich history and legends of Hong Kong's film industry. It features over 100 celebrity handprints set neatly into the wooden handrails, alongside iconic, life-sized bronze statues of superstars like Bruce Lee, Anita Mui, and the beloved cartoon character McDull. Families frequent the avenue to stroll along the scenic waterfront, capture fun photo opportunities with cinematic landmarks, and watch the spectacular, free nightly multimedia laser show, A Symphony of Lights.
Things to know
Weather Protection is Essential
The entire promenade is completely outdoor and lacks overhead shelter. Parents should pack sunscreen, sun hats, stroller canopies, and umbrellas to protect kids from heavy sun or sudden rain.
Stroller Access
The promenade is highly stroller-friendly, featuring a wide, flat, and paved 440 meter boardwalk. Curved wooden handrails doubling as benches are built along the path, making it easy to find a spot to sit, rest, or feed a baby.
No Onsite Nursing Rooms
While there are public restrooms near Salisbury Garden, there are no dedicated baby-changing or breastfeeding facilities on the promenade itself. The nearest high-quality baby care and nursing rooms are located inside K11 MUSEA or the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (each about a 5 minute walk away).
Promenade Safety Rules
Bicycles, skateboards, and recreational scooters are strictly prohibited on the path to keep pedestrians safe. Parents must also ensure children do not climb on the protective glass balustrades or the bronze celebrity statues.

Getting here
Take the MTR to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station and take Exit J. From there, it is a short, 3 minute walk to the entrance of the promenade. Alternatively, use Tsim Sha Tsui Station (Exit F or G) and follow the signage through the underground subways.
Take any bus route serving the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, Salisbury Garden, or the Star Ferry Bus Terminal (such as 1, 1A, 2, 6, 7, 8A, 9, or 234P). Alight at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Salisbury Garden, or Star Ferry stops and walk along Salisbury Road.
Input K11 MUSEA or Salisbury Road into your GPS. Since there is no roadside public parking on the Avenue of Stars, enter the basement parking garage at K11 MUSEA via Salisbury Road to park.
Direct the driver to the drop-off points at K11 MUSEA or the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier. Both locations sit at either end of the promenade walkway.
