Reviews from parents
Good to know
When and where is it?
Saturday 21 November 2026 on the Discovery Bay Road cycle lane at Seabird Lane. Heats run by age group through the morning and early afternoon, with exact times emailed to families.
Do we need our own kart?
No, the HK$250 entry includes an HLG kart. Build your own and the fee is waived, but it needs brakes and at least 92 cm between the axles.
How does the race work?
Karts roll down a 2.4 m ramp onto a track of about 150 m and are timed. The 8 fastest in each age group go through to the quarter-finals.
Is it safe?
The course is sealed off from traffic with barriers, a first aid station sits along the route and officials check the karts. Helmets and covered shoes are compulsory.
Can siblings come and watch?
The organiser does not mention any spectator ticket, and Little Steps says younger siblings can usually come along to cheer.
