About this place
Seabird Lane is a residential road in Beach Village, Discovery Bay, on Lantau Island in the Islands District. Families come here for community events, such as a downhill kart race for children, when the lane is closed to traffic.
It is a street lined with homes, not a venue, so there is no ticket office or facilities of its own. The lane starts a few hundred metres west of the Discovery Bay ferry pier. Ferries from Central Pier No. 3 take about 25 minutes, and private cars are not allowed into Discovery Bay.
Things to know
No private cars
Private cars are not allowed into Discovery Bay apart from a few exceptions, so plan on the ferry or the DB buses. Taxis can only enter the DB North area.
Ferry from Central
Ferries run between Central Pier No. 3 and the Discovery Bay pier in about 25 minutes. Children aged 1 to 11 have their own fare.
A street, not a venue
Seabird Lane is lined with homes and has no venue building, ticket office or facilities of its own. Sort out toilet stops and snacks before you arrive.
Sloping road
The lane runs downhill, which is why it is used for a kart race. Expect a slope if you are pushing a pram.
