About this place

Completed in 2015, Tai Ha Street Garden is a small, quiet municipal park of approximately 930 square meters located in Kwai Chung, right next to the Tai Wo Hau Sports Centre. It features a pleasant landscape, a set of children's play equipment, and elderly fitness facilities. Local families visit this playground because it offers a relaxed, straightforward, and low-key environment for young kids to get some fresh air and play without the massive crowds found at major destination parks.

Things to know

Beat the Heat

Because the park is entirely outdoors and lacks heavy overhead canopy shading in the play area, the best visiting windows are early mornings (8:00 AM to 10:00 AM) or late afternoons (after 4:00 PM) to avoid high heat and humidity.

Bring the Basics

There are no food kiosks or shops directly inside the garden. Be sure to pack water bottles, sun hats, and mosquito repellent (especially during the wetter months of April to October). Convenience stores and fast food are, however, available a short walk away at Tai Wo Hau Estate.

Safety & Grounding

The play area is paved with proper safety padding mats.

Keep an Eye on the Weather

If Hong Kong Observatory issues an Amber, Red, or Black rainstorm warning, the outdoor equipment will empty out quickly and become unusable.
