About this place
Shek Po Tsuen Playground is an outdoor public leisure facility managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Located within the village area of Shek Po Tsuen in Hung Shui Kiu / Ping Shan, it features a hard-surface soccer pitch primarily used for 5-a-side and 7-a-side football. Families and neighborhood children visit the playground to play sports, run around, and enjoy some outdoor physical activity away from the crowded urban districts. The playground has also been selected by the government for future Public Play Space transformation projects to introduce modern, inclusive, and interactive play structures.
Things to know
Bring Water and Snacks
There are no retail kiosks or drinking fountains directly inside the venue, so make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for children.
Sun and Bug Protection
Since the playground is completely outdoor with very limited shade, bring sunscreen, sun hats, and mosquito repellent (especially during the humid months from April to October).
Appropriate Footwear
If planning to use the hard-surface soccer court, children and parents should wear proper athletic shoes to avoid slipping.
Check the Weather
Being an outdoor facility, keep an eye on the Hong Kong Observatory app for any Amber, Red, or Black rainstorm warnings, as the playground empties quickly during bad weather.
