About this place

Sandbox VR is a state of the art, multiplayer, room scale virtual reality attraction. It utilizes advanced movie style motion tracking technology and haptic feedback vests so players physically enter and interact inside virtual games together. Families visit to enjoy a uniquely interactive, high tech bonding experience where they work as a cohesive team to conquer active physical challenges.

Things to know

Physical Gear Check

Ensure your child meets the requirements. The haptic vests, trackers, and headsets weigh up to 20 lbs and can be exhausting for younger or smaller children.

Be On Time

Arrive 15 to 30 minutes early. There is a strict 5 minute late grace period. Arriving more than 5 minutes late will shorten your session or lead to cancellation with a penalty.

Dress Code

Wear light, comfortable activewear as gearing up is a physical workout. Standard eyeglasses usually fit inside the headset, but contact lenses are highly recommended.

Adult Supervision and Waivers

Any player under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver form before participating.

Good to know

What happens if my child is under the minimum height or age?
Sandbox VR requires all players to be at least 1.2 meters tall to ensure the body tracking sensors align correctly. Children under this height cannot participate for safety and technical reasons.
Can I sit inside the VR room and watch my kids play?
Parents can watch their children gear up and wait in the lobby area. Non players are not allowed inside the dedicated VR room during gameplay to prevent accidental collisions.
Will my child get motion sick?
Unlike home VR, Sandbox VR uses advanced 1 to 1 motion capture. Because physical movements perfectly match what you see, it successfully eliminates motion sickness for almost all players.
Are the zombie or combat games suitable for younger kids?
No, zombie and horror titles feature intense jumpscares and are not recommended for kids under 12. Families should choose kid friendly games like Age of Dinosaurs or Curse of Davy Jones.
How many players can join, and can we book a private session?
Sessions accommodate 2 to 6 players. If you book fewer than 6 tickets, you may be paired with others. Booking all 6 slots guarantees a private, family only experience.
