About this place
The Mei Tin Road Sitting-out Area is a low-key, public park and neighborhood playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD). Spanning approximately 3,300 square meters, families and local residents visit to enjoy its quiet environment away from crowded district parks. It features basic children's play equipment, elderly fitness installations, a Tai Chi area, and shaded seating arbours. It is also officially designated as an "Inclusive Park for Pets".
Things to know
Pet-Friendly Area
Because the park is designated as a "Pet Inclusive Park", children will likely encounter dogs. Parents with small children should remain vigilant. Note that pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
No Onsite Restrooms
There are no public toilets directly inside this small sitting-out area. Parents should plan ahead; the nearest public restrooms are a short walk away at Mei Lam Estate or inside the Tai Wai MTR station.
Avoid the Midday Heat
Due to the outdoor nature of the park, visiting between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM is highly recommended to beat the Hong Kong humidity.
Pack the Essentials
Bring water bottles, sun hats, and mosquito repellent (highly recommended between April and October). There are no convenience stores directly inside the area.
