Things to know

Free walk-in entry

Admission is completely free and requires no tickets. Art booths, drumming, and storytelling run on a first-come, first-served basis.

Queues and best times

Workshops and art stalls get busy between 1pm and 3pm, so arrive around 10am for minimal waits. For street parades, claim a spot on the pavement 20 to 30 minutes early.

Strollers and street crowds

Victoria Park has wide paved paths that suit strollers well. During the street parades along Yun Ping Road and Great George Street, pavements become tightly packed and a baby carrier is easier.

Late night parade noise

The Saturday night parade runs from 8:30pm to 10pm with loud marching band drums and packed pavements, which may overwhelm toddlers or babies close to bedtime.
