Stanley Market Road Sitting-out Area
Busy timesEstimated
About this place
Managed by the LCSD, this pleasant outdoor pocket park on Stanley Market Road is a perfect spot for families to rest. It features a historic Chinese Banyan tree providing natural shade, a small children's play area for toddlers, a pavilion, and cozy benches right next to the market.
Things to know
Compact Size
Do not expect a large-scale playground with massive slides. It is a very small pocket space intended for a brief rest.
Restrooms Across the Street
There are no restrooms inside the small sitting-out area itself. Clean public toilets and changing rooms are situated directly across the street in the Stanley Municipal Services Building.
Registered Banyan Tree
The park features a magnificent, registered Old and Valuable Tree, a Chinese Banyan registered in 2004, providing great natural shade and an educational moment for kids.
Pedestrian Zones on Weekends
During weekends and public holidays, a Part-Time Pedestrian Scheme is active on Stanley Market Road, making it much safer for families to walk around.
