About this place
Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), this is a compact, open-air community playground nestled in the Sham Tseng village neighborhood. Because of its tucked-away location, it is generally much quieter and less crowded than major municipal parks, making it a highly manageable spot for families with toddlers and younger kids. The playground's play equipment underwent a full replacement and improvement program, reopening to the public on February 2, 2024.
Things to know
No Onsite Restrooms
There are no restrooms or changing facilities built directly within this small playground. Parents can access public restrooms at the nearby Sham Tseng Temporary Cooked Food Centre or use the barrier-free toilets inside Bellagio Mall.
Insect and Sun Protection
Because the playground sits near the village and surrounding hillside greenery, mosquitoes can be common. Bringing mosquito repellent (especially from April to October), sunscreen, and extra water is highly recommended.
Safety Grounding and Step Hazards
The play equipment area is surfaced with protective rubber floor safety mats. However, parents should watch younger children as there is a slight raised step or barrier edge between the rubber mats and the surrounding concrete floor.
Free Admission
The playground is a public facility and is completely free to enter, making it an easy and budget-friendly stop for families.
