Oaklands Avenue Sitting-out Area is a quiet neighbourhood playground and pocket park tucked into the Mid-Levels. This small, local gem is designed for younger kids and offers a peaceful outdoor moment away from the city's hustle and bustle. Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), it also serves as a designated pet-friendly green space.
Things to know
Pet-Friendly Corner
This is a shared public space with a designated Pet Corner. Dogs must be kept on a leash, and parents should keep a close eye on toddlers around visiting pets.
Pack the Basics
There are no shops or kiosks on site. Be sure to bring water bottles, sun hats, and mosquito repellent, especially from April to October.
No Public Toilets
While there are garden benches, a rain shelter, and hand-washing facilities, please note there are no public restrooms on site.
Free & Cozy Space
Entry is completely free with no booking required. The park is very small, spanning about 125 square meters, making it perfect for a quick, quiet breather.

Location & getting there
Getting here
Take the MTR to Sai Ying Pun Station and walk for about 4 minutes, or enjoy a gentle walk from HKU Station.
Take Citybus Route 13 and get off at Villa Veneto, Oaklands Avenue, right next to the park. Minibuses 45A and 45S also stop nearby.
Drive via Robinson Road or Bonham Road onto Oaklands Avenue. There is no onsite parking, so you must use nearby public parking lots.
Taxis can drop you off directly along Oaklands Avenue right next to the entrance of the sitting-out area.
