About this place

Dragon Road Garden is a small, quiet public park and playground managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) of Hong Kong. Reconstructed and upgraded into a rest garden, it serves local families as a stress-free spot for children to burn off energy. The garden features play equipment, elderly fitness installations, a community garden, and shaded seating pavilions in a leafy residential setting.

Things to know

Avoid Midday Heat

Because the park is outdoor, the best visiting windows to escape intense humidity and heat are 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM.

Insect Protection

The garden is lush and planted with flowers, meaning mosquito repellent is highly recommended, especially from April to October.

Filtered Drinking Water

There is an on-site public water dispenser providing room-temperature drinking water located next to the main entrance.

Pack Snacks

There are no shops inside the park, so bring your own snacks and items.

Good to know

Is there a fee?
No. Public playgrounds in Hong Kong are free to enter and run by the LCSD.
What ages is this best for?
Most LCSD playgrounds suit ages 2 to 12, with separate toddler and older kid equipment. The exact setup varies by site.
Are there toilets nearby?
Usually yes. Most LCSD parks have public toilets within a five minute walk, and the nearest MTR station is a good backup.
What is the best time to go?
Mornings before noon are cooler and quieter, and late afternoon after the school rush works well too. In summer, avoid roughly noon to 3pm.
