About this place

Tucked away in the historically significant and tranquil residential area of Kowloon Tong, Broadcast Drive Playground is a peaceful neighbourhood gem. Families and locals visit to escape the busier city crowds, allowing children to play freely in a low-key, safe environment while older visitors utilize the dedicated fitness amenities.

Things to know

Beat the Humidity

The playground is entirely outdoor with minimal shade. The best visiting window is 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM or after 4:00 PM; mid-day can get intensely hot.

Pack the Basics

There are no retail shops or convenience stores on-site. Ensure you bring sun hats, snacks, and mosquito repellent (especially from April to October).

Stroller Accessibility Warning

The main entrance pathways are wide, but access to the toilet block and certain exits requires climbing small flights of steps (4 to 11 steps), which can be challenging when managing strollers alone.

Refill Station

A public outdoor water dispenser/fountain is available outside the restrooms, providing room-temperature drinking water.

Good to know

Is there a fee?
No. Public playgrounds in Hong Kong are free to enter and run by the LCSD.
What ages is this best for?
Most LCSD playgrounds suit ages 2 to 12, with separate toddler and older kid equipment. The exact setup varies by site.
Are there toilets nearby?
Usually yes. Most LCSD parks have public toilets within a five minute walk, and the nearest MTR station is a good backup.
What is the best time to go?
Mornings before noon are cooler and quieter, and late afternoon after the school rush works well too. In summer, avoid roughly noon to 3pm.
